Last of All

Well this is it.... the last email.  I can hardly even believe it.  I can't believe it to be honest... I don't think it will really hit me that my mission is ending till I have been home for a few weeks and realize that being home wasn't a vacation.... I have absolutely positively LOVED my mission.
And I have learned so much.

I learned that you don't need much to be truly happy, just the gospel.
I learned to make pizza and milanesa.
I learned Spanish.... well Castellano :)
I learned to love people from all sorts of different countries and cultures.
I learned how to prepare Mate.
I learned you can (but not that you should) eat mayonnaise with everything.
I learned that the Lord truly prepares people to receive His gospel.
I learned true happiness is seeing others progress.
I learned to recognize many of the ways the Spirit guides us.
I learned to love Argentina.
I learned to love and serve the Lord.

And what would my last email as a missionary be if I didn't give an update on the work!! This week was a good one for us! We found some new investigators and kept working with the ones we had! We started working last week with a darling little family of 6 daughters!! They are so cute and they all are reading the Book of Mormon and hope to be able to come to church next week.... they live kinda in the country so when it rains they can't leave their house cuz the mud is knee thick chocolate soup!! ( It was fun making our way to their house in our rain boots :) We haven't been able to find Magali.... which is making me sad... but we found a new investigator and her sister is a member and she came to a baptism of a sweetheart little 8 year old boy on Saturday and the members were really good to talk to her and make her feel welcome. I absolutely love my last ward here in Alejandro Korn. I am super happy and I hope to make the most of these last 2 days I have left. There is still so much to do! :)

And bueno, it has come to an end. But I hope it is clear I love the Lord and I have loved being a missionary.

This is the testimony, the last of all that I give. That Jesus Christ lives. I know He lives. Because for the last year and a half of my life He has guided and directed me to help others change their lives. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church on the Earth guided by His priesthood authority. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and alongside the Bible testifies that our Heavenly Father loves us. I know it. I know this is true. I know that Jesus Christ gave His life for me and you and every one of us, so that we can go home. So that we can return home to live with our Father in Heaven and those we love for forever. It is worth any and every cost to get there. And I know my mission was worth the ¨Cost,¨ the Lord has blessed me with so much more than I could ever give Him, and with my help He opened the door for more of His children to come home. I am so grateful that He let me be an instrument in His hands. I love the Lord and I have loved being His full time missionary.

Crazy Good Week

So we had a crazy good week here in my little country town, Alejandro Korn!! :) We spent the week, well not on a diet that is for sure!! We ate so much yummy food and brownies and sweets it wasn't even funny and my poor comps by Saturday both had tummy aches, but man did we have fun!! We had a ton of dinners with members that were super fun!!

Also, we found 14 new investigators this week!! Pretty sure my all time record in the mission! And all thanks to families that have lots of kids! We found one family where the mom had 6 daughters and it made me feel like home!! I loved it!! :)

Also I don't know that I have ever walked so much in my life (more than Disneyland if it is even possible!) Cuz bueno... so I went for a 24 hour visit to San Vicente with my favorite Chilena for a comp exchange and well my poor comps don't know our area very well so when I came back we had a ton of great appointments set up with great investigators but they all lived in the polar corners of our area!! So we walked more than I ever imagined possible and more than once we made the 30 minute walk along the train tracks to the little group of houses on the outskirts of the area and hey I held a butterfly in my hand!! #disneyprincessmoment

Really, we saw so many little miracles this week that there is no doubt in my mind that this is the work of the Lord. He directs the work and truly prepares people. I am so so grateful to be able to be an instrument in His hands here in Argentina..... and bueno... I only have a few days left to give it all I have got, I´m just gona make the most of them!! :)

Alejandro Korn Photos

one last leadership counsel!

taken in the moment :)

Alejandro Korn

This week was a blast! I have loved my two crazy new comps!! They keep me on my feet for sure! We spend just about every moment laughing our heads off between our street contacts!! :)  My favorite part of the two crazies is how much energy and love they have for the work!  They for sure help me to keep giving it all I have got and to take advantage of every moment! :)

This week I also had my last leadership counsel... that was kinda sad for sure! I love that meeting and the Spirit I always feel there. I left that meeting with an understanding that sharing the Gospel with everyone we meet is a daily exercise in faith. We don't know if they are prepared or not, but we just have to have faith in the Lord that there are prepared people in our area and that we will find them if we keep His commandment to open our mouths :) And it is important we exercise this faith every day... just as important as daily physical exercises.

Random side note, for those of you who know me ... physical exercise... not my thing!  But as I have made an effort in the mission to do them every morning, now the mornings when we can't do them for a meeting or cuz we have to travel early or something I feel the difference ALL DAY LONG!!  Without them I am tired and worn out!!  The mission is truly a miracle if it can make me need and even want to exercise haha!  :)

It was a fun week teaching my new comps the area! And I loved seeing their faces when they met the ward members!! The country folk here are a little different than the city people and you just have to know how to talk to them!! :) My poor comp almost wet herself crying laughing in dinner with the Bishop´s family :) haha I love Alejandro Korn :)

Really I just love beinga missionary! I know this is the Lord's work and that He is the head. I know He truly directs this work and I am just so grateful to be one of the workers in the vineyard working alongside my Savior.
